Registration Options & Fees

Please be aware that by registering, you agree to abide by the ISMIR 2024 Code of Conduct. ISMIR 2024 will be a hybrid conference allowing all registrants to choose to attend the event virtually or in-person in San Francisco, CA, USA. We encourage participants to register for the conference early, especially if you plan to attend ISMIR 2024 in-person to allow sufficient time to obtain a visa and make appropriate travel plans as needed.

In-Person Registration is now CLOSED as we are now at the capacity of the venue. Please note we will be unable to accept any additional in person registrations at this time.

One In-Person Regular or Student registration includes 1 ticket for the registrant to attend the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner. 

You may bring a guest (spouse, colleague, friend, peer, etc.) to the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner only if you have purchased an additional ticket. Tickets are subject to availability. 


Tutorials: 

  • A full registration does NOT include Tutorials; if you wish to attend, please add this on during registration.  
     
  • A virtual registration includes Tutorials

  • Access to all physical sessions and exhibitions at the venue
  • Welcome reception, 25th Anniversary Conference Dinner, and Coffee Breaks
  • NOTE: Lunch is NOT included at the conference

Important Note for Authors

Each accepted paper needs to be covered by an in person registration BY the author registration deadline (August 23, 2024). 

  • A student author registration can cover up to two papers and a full author registration can cover up to two papers. It is mandatory for at least one author of an accepted paper to register for the conference and present their work at the conference (in-person or virtually).

The registration fee does not include any travel cost, insurance, accommodation, sightseeing tours or airport transfers.

Payment

Payment is required at the time of registration. The following credit/debit cards are accepted:

If you need to pay via bank transfer, please email kknight@conferencecatalysts.com for a manual registration form and invoice. Please note all bank transfer accrue an additional $25 fee.

Virtual attendees: If you are registering as a virtual attendee and require financial assistance due to e.g., unemployment or lack of institutional funding, please contact kknight@conferencecatalysts.com for more information prior to registering.

Please note the grant application and process is different than the virtual attendees who are requesting financial assistance. 

Visa Requests

The participant is responsible for his/her visa application for attending ISMIR 2024. The conference organizers are not liable for any issue related to the visa application and acceptance procedure. If you will not be able to attend ISMIR 2024, a refund is agreed according to the cancellation policy detailed below. It is warmly suggested to apply for the visa well in advance with respect to the conference dates.


For the participants who need a visa, an invitation letter will be sent to the registered email address after completion of the registration process including fee payment. 

Cancellation Policy

Kindly send the cancellation requests to kknight@conferencecatalysts.com on or before Oct. 15, 2024. 

Requests for cancellation or changes must be sent in writing to the address indicated above. Telephone requests will not be considered. Upon cancellation, registration fee will be refunded after deducting 20% of the fees paid (and associated taxes) as administration fees, within 30 business days provided that full banking information (bank name, bank holder, IBAN, BIC/SWIFT) are indicated on cancellation request. Bank Transfers not nonrefundable. No refunds will be processed after October 15, 2024.

Terms of registration and payment

  • A regular receipt will be issued by Conference Catalysts upon receipt of payment. 
  • A confirmation number will be issued to you upon successfully registering for the conference. Please retain your confirmation number as you may need it to make changes or add items to your registration.
  • The registration of participation is binding.
  • The participation fees are owed upon registration.
  • Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
  • The conference program may be subject to changes.
