Call for Late Breaking Demos

We are excited to invite submissions for the Late-Breaking/Demo (LBD) session at ISMIR 2024

The LBD session offers a forum for presenting prototype systems, initial concepts, and early results that are not yet fully matured but hold significance for the Music Information Retrieval (MIR) community. It serves as an excellent opportunity for newcomers to ISMIR to showcase their preliminary work and engage with seasoned researchers through valuable feedback.

Participants should submit extended abstracts in accordance with the submission guidelines (see below). At least one author must be available to present the accepted abstract as a poster during the LBD session, which may be done either in-person or virtually. Registration for the presenter is mandatory. Note that the LBD abstract is not a conference paper and will not be included in the official ISMIR 2024 proceedings.

Presentation Preference

As a hybrid conference, this year’s LBD session will support both in-person and virtual presentations. However, due to space constraints at the venue, not all submissions can be presented in-person. During submission, please specify your preferred presentation format. While we aim to honor all preferences, we may need to assign some presentations to a virtual format if in-person capacity is reached. Assignments will consider presenters' preferences and the order of submission.

For additional information, you can reach the session chairs via email at ismir2024-lbd@ismir.net.
